hiya i work as an optometrist / optician

this could have happened for a number of reasons (this can get complicated)

1. the brights lights cause constriction of the pupil but if you had been studying at college you must have been focussing which tends to work the muscles so when you came outside the pupil muscles could have gone in a spasm or just tired and hence the pupil just dilates.

2. computer games again cause your eyes to work alot depending on what you play, hand held things like psp and nintendo ds and the like are the worse culprits and make your eyes work alot and tire you eyes out. Even if you play on the main TV screen you eyes will get tired based on other factors such as length of time playing, distance from TV, lighting level, energy levels, playing in the evening, lying down and playing (makes the eyes muscles work alot more) so based on all of this your eyes must have been tired leading to the what i outlined in no 1

3. again a lack of sleep is likely to make your body in general and your eyes tired which again will possible lead to the eye muscles just getting tired.

best thing to do is

1. relax your eyes, take regular breaks from near vision tasks
2. go to an optician and have your eyes tested
playing computer games for long period of times is known to decreave your abilty to focuss due to tired muscles.

i hope this has helped.
