Eyes burn when they get watery?!

Question: Eyes burn when they get watery?

I got jumped a few weeks ago. Broken nose, bruised up face every where fat lip. Didn't get black eyes though. While healing, out of no where my eyes would water and when that would happen they would burn. That all stopped once my face turned to normal. Monday night I got sick and my eyes watered, same effect as before. Anyone know why this happens

im an optician. the burning sensation is due to your eyes getting dry so due to the lack of tears your eyes burn. so the brain thinks oh dry eyes so more water comes but it comes straight out so your eyes remain in this circle.

it could be after the trauma to your head and around your eyes they are not as normal as they should be so it maybe a good idea to have your eyes checked out. sometimes this is linked to an underlying vision problem.

in the meantime try to blink more and try not to stare at things to long.

and even etter try not to get jumped.
