When I enter my house after walking home in the snow, the room is dark. help?!
Question: When I enter my house after walking home in the snow, the room is dark. help?
Then I walk to the bathroom and turn on the light, and my eyes adjuts again and it kind of hurts.
Is there something wrong? I was assuming that walking through the snow (which reflects sunlight to your eyes) makes my eyes really dialated but when I enter they have a hard time adjusting to the non-snow...
advice please

This is normal. Whenever I go outside to shovel the snow out of my driveway if I am out for a long time when I go back inside everything seems dark. I think its just your eyes have to re-adjust. And yes the snow reflects sunlight. So don't worry your walks home from school wont hurt you.

You get terrible glare from snow which affects your eyes. Over days there is a condition known as snow blindness, not that you are in danger from this. You need to wear sunglasses, polarized can help more with glare. Know it sounds weird in snow but tehre we are. If its not that bright then there are specialized types of colour in sunglasses which help with that.
Nothing wrong with you.
Your eyes are just adjusting to the new low-light environment. Can take from a few seconds to a few minutes to be fully adjusted.
Your pupils actually dilate when it gets dark to let more light in.
turn on the light lol
