Problems with contacts.?!

Question: Problems with contacts.?
When I was putting my contacts in this morning, my left contact slid way up into my eye. I got it out after wrestling it for a while, but all day my eye has hurt and it's really itchy. Did I do something--and if I did how can I help my eye(is it even possible for a contact to scratch the eye?).

You probably managed to scratch your eye slightly doing this. The contact itself won't scratch teh eye unless its torn, but if you fiddle with it a lot you can get something like lint or a piece of dust on it. Doesn't matter how careful you are washing your hands. Leave your contacts out for 24 hours, use some drops on it . If it doesn't ease off in 24 hours then go tot he optician to get it checked out.

Wrestling contacts takes practice and soft ones are less prone to slip than hard ones so people these days don't have the practice. I dont' know how you "wrestled" it, but the safest way to wrestle a contact is to use your eyelids to move it into place. That can be a bit frustrating but you're less prone to get your eye scratched doing that.

you could of scratched it. Stop wearing your contact until it feels better, it should heal in the next 24 hours.
