Are people with Heterochromia suseptable to eye troubles?!

Question: Are people with Heterochromia suseptable to eye troubles?
I have central heterochromia - green around the pupil and blue around outer iris area. I have been plagued with eye troubles most of my life, styes and conjunctivitus. I had lasik surgery to correct near sightedness and astigmatism about 4 years ago. My eye doctor and I thought this might help being it eliminated the need for contact lenses and glasses, but am still getting eye infections quite regularly and now suffer from chronic red eyes. They actually look sick and poorly a lot of the time now. Has anyone else suffered this type of problem? are there many people out there with heterochromia? are eye infections a common thing for them?

"Central heterochromia" is just an eye colour, some people would call it hazel. It carries no risk of eye disease.

True heterochromia, in which one eye has one colour and the other eye has a different colour sometimes is simply a genetic variant and sometimes associated with other diseases.

See your eye doctor again to determine what is causing your eye infections and red eyes. Glasses and Lasik are not treatments for eye infections. Styes are often associated with blepharitis which can be caused by allergies or some skin disorders like acne rosacea.

heterochromia is not really linked to anything but is an affect of something, sometimes its genetic.

the chronic redness maybe due to dry eyes which is sometimes a commonly associated with laser eye surgery. have it checked out.

I have been born with heterochromia as well, not for sure what kind though, basically one eye is light green the other a dark brown.A blue ring is in my irises as well, but see with mine I lost sight in my right eye the only way I am able to see out of it is when I forcefully open it with one hand.I am far sighted in the left eye which is the eye that catches all the detail.I have to wear glasses or I will go blind in both eyes basically.I have not dealt with eye infections before but when vomiting my eyes have gotten abit red something normal I think. Some people think my eye color is preety though,I think it's a horid thing to say but whatever, anyways you have central heterochromia, mine will just make me blind. But in reality hey we're two of a kind.Go to a doctor..maybe it's a heredity thing get some medication to help you..that's all I gotta say.
