Feels like there's something in my contacts?!

Question: Feels like there's something in my contacts?
Everytime I check of things like lint, there's nothing, yet after I put on my contacts, there feels like there's something on my contact. It's like there's an eyelash in my eye. Everytime I put rewetting drops in, it feels better, then a few hours later, it feels like there's something in my eye again; I'll have to put the drops in again. Is this because of dry eye or something?

Also, just curious, but if I had a piece of lint on the inside of my contact and I put it on wihtout knowing, could it scratch my cornea and make me blind or something?

Maybe the contact itself has a tear in it. If you wear the disposables, throw that one away and try a new one. It could cause a cornea scratch, but as long as you let the scratch heal properly it won't cause blindness.

If you get sometihng like lint on your contact then normally you'll feel its uncomfrtable when it goes in. Then you tend to take it out. sometimes you can get a scratch but you wont' go blind. You just have to keep lenses out until your eyes heal and eyes tend to heal very fast. Worst that can happen and its unlikely is that you get an infection , but those can be fixed by modern medicines.

If your contact doesnt' feel right as at the moment best thing is to take it out and leave it out tilll your eye feels o.k. Then put a new contact in. If the new contact is still uncomfortable do the usual checks but tehn go to the optiican.
