Question: I have double vision.?

I have to get glasses (im 13) and my mom said that you cant get contacts for double vision...is that true?

thats right you cannot get contact lenses that correct double vision, double vision is mostly corrected by prism lenses and it would be good to wear them.

im sensing that your asking about contacts as your not a fan of glasses.

I have this! However I'm British so it might be different in the states. I was going to a hospital for eye tests for about ten years (I'm 14) And It could be because of looking up at people, I did some exercises. And I don't get it at all anymore. ask your Opticon about it, they will be able to help.

My own excperiences

It depends what is causing your double vision. If you require a prism in your glasses to correct it, then no, contacts won't work for that.
