You probably won't become blind. However there are a lot of bad outcomes between healthy eyes and blind. The most likely consequence is developing conditions where you have to reduce your contact lens wearing times or can't wear them at all.

the danger in the long term is your eyes not getting enough oxygen. Not a lot of warning of that and you risk your eyesight being made a lot worse and not beign able to wear contacts again. Also you cuold have weeks without contacts or a decent glasses perscription with your eyes is a LOT of pain while they heal.
