Is this a depth perception problem?!

Question: Is this a depth perception problem?
This only happens occasionally. After staring at something for a long time - like the TV, the computer or the blackboard - my vision goes into this tunnel like effect and that object I'm staring act suddenly looks sooooooo far away. I don't know what's going on. I'm scared.

hi

as a precaution just have an eyetest. It seems like your staring and vision is based on the retina being stimulated so when your eyes remain still the peripheral fades out and as soon as you move it the vision is restored. if this happens only when u stare it maybe understandable but if this happens regularly it something that needs investigating

don't be frightened. Starting at something like this can have some really odd effects and I'd recognize that tunnel like effect. Don't keep staring at things but try and blink and move your eyes normally. If its happening more and you are frightened you need to talk about it with your parents and they will take you for a eye checkup but really there is no need to worry about odd effects like this if you see normally most of the time.

This is quite normal... no one really knows for sure... but it's like.. the part of your brain that interprets your vision... has a yawn..
