Something wrong with eyes?!

Question: Something wrong with eyes?
Okay so I'm with my boyfriend right now and he started freaking out about his eyes. The way he's describing it is a "shiny blur" he washed his eyes out already it got a little better but its still there. Can some one help me? Please and Thank you!

Answers:

Can you give a little more information?
1) is everything a "shiny blur" or just some areas of his vision?
2) did this start all of a sudden, or did it gradually get worse?
3) is it both eyes or just one? Have him close one eye at a time to figure out which eye it is.
4) How old is your boyfriend?
5) Does anyone in his family have any serious eye problems (besides glasses or cataracts)?
6) Does he wear contacts?
7) Does he have any discomfort or any other symptoms or is it just the blurriness that's bothering him?
8) Is he sensitive to bright light?

That's a start... This could be a lot of things. If you answer the questions above, it will help narrow things down. This has nothing to do with computers or cell phones as suggested by one of the other answers.

This may be a bit late, but it could be that what he is describing is the start of a migraine. If this is still bad or getting worse he should go to a doctor. Otherwise if it happens again or doesnt' go away go to an optician.

You shouldn't wash out your eyes - its not good for them. Your tears do a good job of washing your eyes and ordinary water isn't good for them.

You need to ask him as to what he's been doing in the past. Like too much computer screen viewing whether it is a on a cell phone, full size computer. Ask him does he wear sunglasses enough. You can buy some eye spray that could help his eyes. Make sure he gets his share of carrots or beta-carotene.
It may just go away with some time.
