Thin glasses but poor vision?!

Question: Thin glasses but poor vision?
I usually wear contacts but I got surgery so I need to wear glasses. My glasses are maybe 3 or 4 mm thick. Is it possible for me to get thinner lenses? Thanks. & if there is , can you direct me to a site? Price is not a concern.

You can reduce the thickness of your lenses by the material of your lenses.

A polycarbonate lens is going to be thinner than standard plastic and glass. A Hi Index lens will be thinner than the polycarbonate. A 1.67 or 1.74 Hi Index lens would be one of the thinnest, and you get better optics than the polycarbonate. Also, try not to choose frames that are overly large. You want your eyes to be centered well in the lens, and although the large glasses look very geek chic, a smaller frame will help reduce the thickness of the lenses.
