Leaving Contacts In for too long?!

Question: Leaving Contacts In for too long?
I left my contacts in for 2 weeks, my eyes now have little red rings on them. I don't have any eye discomfort, but I took the contacts out anyway. I also had a sinus infection recently. If I use my glasses for a few days should I be fine?

It is not good for you to leave your contacts in overnight because your eyes are not getting the appropriate amount of oxygen. You should always take your contacts out at night and, if anything, wear your glasses to let your eyes "breathe". I would recommend seeing your doctor so he/she can check your eyes for an infection.

If your eyes still hurt after wearing glasses and removing your contact lenses, you should really contact your eye doctor. Most contact lenses are only meant to be worn for a day. Here is somewhere you can find info on wearing lenses: http://bit.ly/Contacts101

you should be fine, the redness will go away in a few days and you can go back to use your contacts again.
Use eye drops often, remove the contacts every day before going to bed.

Yes, wear glasses. And, for the live of god, don't leave them in for 2 weeks, you could get infections or parasites

dont do that
there are ample number of infections that can occur
and there is always the possibility of corneal scars

so i would avoid it

im 1 and started wearing contacts a lil b4 school started so if there red for more then 24 hours call your eye doctor and just wear glasses for about a week and u should be fine

If you don't have an infection, you'll be fine.

Yes it is fine. I have worn my contacts for 2 weeks straight several times.
