Which numbers are which on my contact lenses?!

Question: Which numbers are which on my contact lenses?
Any optometrists??

Im looking online for some contact lenses on a budget and am trying to find which numbers are which on the back of my lense blister pack.

8.7 - Would this be the Base Curve?
-0.00
-0.75x180 (180 i guess is the axis)
14.5 - I assume this is diameter?

So would the other 2 be the power/sphere and cylinder? (they are for astigmatism)

Im thinking that the -0.75 is the Cylinder and the 0.00 (or plano?) is the power/sphere?

So:

8.7 Base Curve
0.00 Power/Sphere
-0.75x180 Cylinder and Axis
14.5 Diameter

Does that sound right?

Hope this makes sense.

Answers:

Yep, you got it all right.....as long as you are ordering the same brand as your boxes are.
