Eye - Bleach - URGENT URGENT URGENT OH MY GOD?!

Question: Eye - Bleach - URGENT URGENT URGENT OH MY GOD?
Hey guys. I was bleaching my hair a few minutes ago and as I was spreading out bleach through my fringe, a small amount of hair filled with bleach touched my eye - or almost did. I don't know. It burned a bit but since I was in the bathroom I rinsed it out. Then I went on the internet and found terrible things. Right now my eyes are burning a bit. I can barely feel it, but it's still burning a bit. My parents are sleeping and they know I'm neurotic, so if I wake them up they won't believe me. I also have anxiety and OCD, which means I am freaking out right now, imagining my eye burning and melting. So, what should I do? I am so scared and I can't go see an eye doctor right now!!! Should I sleep? I'm so scared I will wake up blind.

BTW, my eyes are not red and I can see normally. They're just burning a little bit, when I blink.

First of all, calm down. You're not going to go blind and your eyeball won't melt. Just rinse it with cool water and that's it. Unless you have out of control pain or some screaming pain, don't even worry about it.
Besides that, you said it ALMOST touched your eye. Get a grip on that anxiety disorder.

If they're not red, you can see fine, and they're just a little uncomfortable, you're fine. Just go to bed. The best thing for them at this point is for the eye to be closed and washed out overnight. If it calms your fears, rinse one more time before bed, relax and go to sleep. Otherwise, you're going to dry out your eyes by staying up late, which will make them look more red in the morning, and make you freak out all over again. RELAX.

Best to rinse your eye out with artificial tears or sterile eye wash if you have that available. If you can see OK you should be fine, even just blinking is good your own tears will help to rinse out any residual chemicals that may(or may not) have touched the surface of your eye. its just like going in a swimming pool and getting chlorine in your eyes. if there not bubbling and melting, i think youll be ok.

No, there's bleach in swimming pools. That's why it hurts to open your eyes under-water.

You'll be fine, best wishes!

The active ingredient in hair bleach isn't chlorine bleach, it's really strong hydrogen peroxide.
Rinse your eye thoroughly, preferably in the shower where you can let the water run over your eye for several minutes. If you don't experience any other symptoms you should be fine. If you were going to have problems I would think you would have had them by now, however if a problem develops the pain will wake you up, so no need to worry about having a melted eyeball in the morning :)

I wouldn't suggest trying to hold your eye open in the shower, just let it run over your closed eyelid and maybe try to keep the eyelid cracked a little bit. Most likely the bit of irritation you're experiencing is because of the water you've already used, it doesn't have the lubricating properties that your tears do. Something gentle like saline drops or lubricating eye drops will help with that, but I wouldn't recommend normal anti-redness eye drops, you don't need to add more chemicals to the mix. If you don't have anything your own tears should have everything taken care of by morning.
