why are my contacts drying so fast, even with eyedrops?!

Question: Why are my contacts drying so fast, even with eyedrops?
I wear contacts, and i take them off regulary, and clean them, take them off before i go to sleep, for some reason, there always dry, even with eye drops, does anyone know why, also my eyes burn if i close them for more then 2 seconds, whats wrong?

Answers:

Your eyes are burning because they are dry. I suspect taht you are overwearing your lenses. You say you take them otu before you go to sleep which is good, but do you wear them all day? there are limits on a sensible wearing time usually quoted at 12/14 hours and it pays to give your eyes an hour before goign to bed if possible.

Also follow all the things for dry eyes, make sure you drink enough water, not tea/coffee, computer screens dry the eyes so giving your eyes a break if you use for hours a day might be an idea. If it continues you need to get a checkup. Anything odd with contacts and it pays to get your eyes checked early.

Are they a new brand you have just started wearing ?

Is it a brand you have been wearing for awhile and they have always done that, or has it just started doing that recently ?

Have you changed the solutions you use ?

There are several unknowns that have to be known to be able to give a good guess at the cause.

If it is a constant problem though , you really have to go back to the place that sold them to you so they can have a look at the problem up close. It isn't normal, and there should be a reason for it that can be found and remedied.
