Pink eye....no parent home? What to do?!

Question: Pink eye....no parent home? What to do?
I think I have pink eye because my right eye is swollen, pink, and sticky. I don't know what to do because I have school today (high school). I can't contact my mom because she's at work right now (don't her number since this is a new job) or any adult.

Would it be okay to schedule an appointment by myself? Or perhaps, get my brother to call (but he's in a different city attending college)? And should I attend school?

I'm 17 btw - if that makes a difference

I don't know what to do =[

Stay home. Keep a warm washcloth over your eye to soothe it. Don't rub your eyes ..

The ethic thing to do is to ask yourself seriously if you can go to school. If it's not life-threatening, waiting till your mom comes back is not a bad idea, so she can give you a first, more experienced check. Anyway, if it's a bad pinkeye and you can't go to school, the posterior visit to he doctor will serve you as excuse. If not, then go to school and later rest at home till your mom comes.

Hope it helps =)

Best thing to do is call you doctor and schedule an appointment as soon as you can. If it's pink-redish I would suggest not going to school because it might be conjunctivitis, and that's contagious. :) It's not a big problem, but you should get it checked.

Call the doctor and schedule an appointment. ;)

Don't go to school, that will only make other people around you sick. You could call and make a doctor's appointment yourself, it's really not that bad. If you feel like you can wait till your mom gets back from work, try not to touch your eye and give yourself a few eye drops.

pink eye is highly contagious dont go.. you get it from getting trace amounts of feces in your eye.
