Do i need glasses? I sometimes catch my self squinting and blinking a lot...?!

Question: Do i need glasses? I sometimes catch my self squinting and blinking a lot...?
Hi, I'm 14 years old and for my entire life I have always had good eyesight, but the past couple of years when I go to the doctor's office, i have noticed that I cannot read the chart as much as I used to. I have trouble reading the seventh or eighth line, when I used to be able to read the ninth or even tenth perfectly. I asked the doctor, and she said she can't tell me and I would have to go to an eye doctor to find out for sure if I needed glasses.
Some other symptoms I have noticed are... I get dizzy when I'm in a bright room for too long (don't know if that has anything to do with eyesight?)... My eyes take a while to adjust when I go from the sunny outside to a darker inside room... I sometimes have headaches... Also i tend to blink a lot (I mean a lot! Like every 2 seconds)... Lastly, I catch myself squinting when trying to read my email, the tv, or math/science books. I can still read it, it just kind of hurts my eyes. When I talked to my dad about it (he has a very light prescription of glasses), the things he can't see, I sometimes can, and vice verse. Not sure if this makes sense at all, but I hope somebody has any advice! Any kind of answers would be great! Thanks

Yes, go see an Optician. Why your doctor didn't/can't refer you to one, is beyond me. You're possibly 'short-sighted' ? like half the population of the planet! So get tested, get some cool specs and enjoy looking extra intelligent, while not getting headaches from straining to focus etc. 8)

The best and really only thing to do is make an appointment with an eye doctor (Ophthalmologist or Optometrist, either one). They'll be able to answer all of your questions.

Worn contacts/glasses forever it seems!
