Nearsighted eyeglasses question?!

Question: Nearsighted eyeglasses question?
I'm nearsighted and my prescription thing is -4.00 is that bad?? Will my eyes look smaller with my new glasses?

Answers:

Don't worry. I know people with -10 in each eye. It may be scary at first when you hear such a big negative number, but really, don't stress. You'll soon get used to your new prescription and you'll have people commenting on how nice you look with glasses. Plus, if you get a nice frame, that's a really good conversation starter.

Your eyes won't look smaller with your new glasses unless you push them down your nose. Do an expirement for me. Take your glasses off straight and hold them where the tips of the ear part is touching the top of your ear. Ask a friend how you look. He/she weill probably say, "Wow! Your eyes are so small!" Everything will also seem smaller to you. So if you have your glasses on the right part of your nose, your eyes will look fine :).

If you need any help adjusting to your lenses, or need advice on frames, feel free to ask me! :)

That's not bad. I'm at -6.5 and am doing fine. You can get reduced thickness glasses and they don't make your eyes look smaller.
