Are contacts safe to wear in a factory?!

Question: Are contacts safe to wear in a factory?
My wife is planing on getting contacts but she works in a cookie factory, and i'm not sure if the dust and debris would cause a problem for her. Does anyone know?

Usually the food processing plants are relatively clean (not like she is doing demo-work, or some other filthy job). However, I suggest she wear her glasses at first and check with other workers or her supervisior if contacts are OK. Some companies forbid them for various safety-related reasons, in a cookie factory they might worry if one popped out and went into the dough mix or something like that.

I wouldn't suggest it. I've been doing electrical work for a few years now and when I first started, I had contacts. The random debris floating around in a work area such as a factory would really be a factor. I would stick with good old glasses. Hope this was helpful!

Possibly. If you where goggles over the, then yes.
