why do some siblings (obviously European) have different eye color?!

Question: Why do some siblings (obviously European) have different eye color?
how does it work?

i never took science courses.....

so...

how's it possible to have 4 siblings ranging from eye colors golden light brown, light green, gray and super light blue...all from 2 parents that have hazel (light brownish green) ?

i know the parents give different "alleles" to each kid ......but i still don't understand .............................

so 2 hazel eyed parents would mean they each carry "Bb" alleles which would mean they carry 1 blue allele and 1 brown allele and when the parents alleles pair up....it still becomes Bb? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,which would mean they're giving 50% brown and 50% blue right?.....i think....

so how is it that some of the kids go 100% bb alleles and the other got Bb alleles when they have the same parents......

Eye colour is determined by the interaction between at least three different genes and there can be variable expression and penetrance.

Two hazel eyed parents will have children with gray, blue, green, hazel or brown eyes.
