Can someone explain strabismus to me?!

Question: Can someone explain strabismus to me?
i was diagnosed with strabismus when i was three. i had surgery at 7 to fix my eye muscles, but the effect of the surgery is slowly wearing off. i never really understood strabismus. i have 20-20 vision, but my eyes cross terribly and everything is blurry. I thought i had super powers as a kid because i saw 2 of everything lol. can someone explain it? is it a type of "lazy eye"?

Answers:

You need to see an optometrist who may be able to prescribe something to help keep your eyes from crossing. You are very lucky to have 20/20 vision.

Optometrist

Strabismus means that you have weak eye-ball muscles. If you think the surgery is wearing off, try to cover up your other eye and leave that eye out. It's just slowing wearing off, because you're getting used to the other eye ONLY and NOT using the muscle of the eye that was diagnosed with Strabismus. You probably need to get used to using the muscles on that eye! Since this doesn't hurt, it won't hurt to try!
