Question: Air Optix Contacts...Help?
the Dr. told me to change every 2 weeks.
Is it okay if I wear them monthly?
I would hate to be spending money every 3 months.

Ciba considers Air Optix to be a monthly replacement lens. They replaced O2 Optix which was a two week lens. Your doctor was either confused or saw something unique about your situation that would indicate that you need to replace your lenses more often. His office can answer this best.

If lenses are supposed to last 2 weeks then they start to degenerate. They will transmit less oxygen to your eyes and thsi is dangerous. I transferred to fortnightlies a while back because they are more comfortable but they are more expensive than monthlies.
