Question: I want contacts but my parents said no?

I'm 15 years damn old and I hate wearing glasses. I feel like a damn nerd and ppl call me it too. I just wanna go without glasses and be normal! My parents said no:(:( They think I'm too young when so many ppl at my school have contacts instead of glasses. FML. Is this true? is it bad to wear them at this age?

Im 14 thing with contacts is they're expensive and they can be lost very easily and they can be expensive they probably thing your not good enough for them for them to spend at least 200 dollars a year my mom said no b that's is how i feel
