Question: How much longer am I going to have to wait for my contacts?

I recently placed an order with my optometrist for some contacts and he said that it would take about a week for him to get them, he said that last Monday...and it's Thursday now...so shouldn't he have gotten them already? I called him to ask what was going on and he said that he hasn't gotten them yet and that he was going to call and see what was going on with my order and I haven't gotten any message or anything from him. How much longer am I going to have to wait? I REALLY need them by tomorrow night for something that I have to go to, but I'm not sure if they'll be delivered by tomorrow. :(

I can't predict when they will arrive, maybe the contact factory burnt down or something.

This is why they say, if you wear contacts, always have a pair of glasses too (no matter how nerdy/ugly you might thing they are) for just such "emergencies".

I suppose you could try phoning around various optical shops, Walmarts, etc and see if anybody has any contacts of your prescription in stock (even if they cost a bit more). As long as you don't have some wierd prescription, you might get lucky.

It is usually much cheaper to get them on-line and you get really fast shipping that way.
