Question: Contact lense Question!! Please help, anyone. Or people with the same problem?
I have +5 left eye, and +5.5 right eye longsightedness. Due to asigmatism's in my eyes glasses make my near vision clear, but contacts do not[theyre not multifocal]. What can I do ? I hate wearing glasses. Is there multifoacal contacts availible that correct asigmatism? Does anyone use these? Also I am worried one day I will be in glasses full time, how can I take steps to orevent this? How rapidly is eye surgery progessing to one day fully correct my condition [longsightedness, asigmatism, accommodative esotropia]? Also does anyone else do absolutely everything in glasses eg-love making ? [wierd question yes, but my vision is that bad]

"multifocal" lenses help with presbyopia, not astigmatism. are you over say 40? thats when you'd need a multifocal. if you're under 40 it is unlikely that a multifocal is indicated

there is no way to "prevent"having to wear glasses full time later. it might happen, it might not.

sure someday maybe some surgical procedure. you cant have LASIK, i'm sure you know if you've researched enough. maybe corneal onlays...they're not here yet.

just be blurry during lovemaking.

Yes, there are multifocal contacts that correct astigmatism. See your optometrist and be prepared to try several times since they are hard to fit and only have about a 50% success rate.
