Contacts or Glasses? Money issues?!

Question: Contacts or Glasses? Money issues?
I really want contacts, I've tried them before and looked really nice without my glasses. I still like my glasses though because they give me a sophisticated look.

So if I wee to get contacts I wouldn't wear them evey day.

The problem is that my family have money issues at the moment and I don't want to trouble them, but I was talking to my friend and she mentioned that she gets hers free from the hospital.

I mentioned this to my dad who says that only works if you have something wrong with your eyes but my friend has nothing wrong, just normal long sightedness.

So is there anyway for me to get free or cheap contacts?

If you can't get the "free" ones, and you would only be wearing contacts occasionally, you might try the disposable ones (use for one day and throw them out) saves on cleaning solution too.

No word on cheap contacts, but I can let you know where to find affordable and obscenely hip eyeglass. check out SPEX Club. The styles are really fun and keep up with the blog: http://spexclub.com/blog/

It's always giving tips on eyesight.

I think from this that you are in the UK. You don't say how old you are. Some people can get tokens which can be used towards either glasses or contacts, but its complicated adn depends on exactly how much money your family has. Generally you have to be on certain sorts of benefits to get these. The other reason for getting them free would be if for some medical reason it was deemed crucial. Your age is important as well.

Bottom line is that to get them would need your parents to apply for the relevant benefits and then you would get this if their income was low enough. There may be additional entitlement for those under 16. Only the optician can tell you how much the tokens would be worth as it is dependent on your perscription. Some perscriptions get higher value tokens.
