Why do hazel eyes change color?!

Question: Why do hazel eyes change color?
I have hazel eyes but people will tell me that they think it is green, blue, golden, or brown and even gray. I know sometimes it depends on the color shirt you are wearing, but i know that there has to be more behind that. thanks.

Answers:

It is based on a number of factors, available light, your iris dilation, the other colors in the room for comparison, that persons color perception, and your own blood and eye pressure. With hazel eyes and most other eye colors your eyes aren't a single shade but a number of shades close together that move as your eye conditions change. With most people they are all of a single dominate hue but people like us with hazel eyes have multiple hues in their iris so we will get a broader range of perceived colors based both on what is actually visible and what the viewer picks up.

Well hazel is a mix of green and brown and with a change in clothes, lighting, diet, usually eyes get lighter with a healthier diet , severe head trauma can make your eyes change your eye color and your genetics can cause your eyes to change at certain stages in life so it all depends

i have no idea- ive got hazel eyes, they do the same, i guess its just the little parts that reflect the light in different ways?

ive got hazel eyes too :)

The colors surrounding your eyes and the lighting, and of course personal perception can mean you get a variety of answers.
