Would most people wear glasses all the time with my prescription?!

Question: Would most people wear glasses all the time with my prescription?
I've had glasses since I was 15 (I'm 25 now) and my prescription is now -2.50 -0.50 x 145 in one eye and -2 in the other. My colleague has a prescription is -2.50 and -3 so not much more than mine but she wears hers all the time, she was kind of surprised that I still didn't wear mine all the time too.

I see better with my glasses but don't need them for reading but I'm wondering if people with my prescription would usually wear them all the time like my friend does?

This is really up to you. You should do what is comfortable for you. I usually only wear my eyeglasses when I need them.

If your a minus prescription with a cylinder axis you're an outdoor dependent, for seeing clearly the people you pass by, or the number of the bus that is approaching.

Your prescription is relatively a low one but will increase if you don't wear them regularly. You strain your eyes to make out what you cannot see clearly, so set your vanity to one side and wear your spectacles.

Your friend is doing what you should do, she is more sensible than you are. You've had your spectacles for ten years and hardly wear them, so why suffer when there's no need.

Its a question of personal choice. Your friend may find it easier but she might have a degree of astigmatism as well which would influence that choice. You are pretty marginal to wear them all the time . Note wearing or not wearing them wont' make your eyesight better or worse so its just personal choice. You might for example be happier to hold books closer to your face than your friend.

With a prescription like yours, it is recommended you wear them all the time. It will help things in the distance look much clearer. You don't need them for reading because you are nearsighted, which means you can see things close but not far away.

I'd say contacts are the way to go, even if your vision isn't all that bad (close to mine actually).

you should go to doctor immediately.
