What if I scratched my cornea and...?!

Question: What if I scratched my cornea and...?
I thought I got an eyelash stuck in my eye, but there seems to be nothing there. I flushed it out like 4 times but I think I might have scratched my cornea. If I have indeed scratched my cornea (protective layer of the eye), is it serious or should I just leave it alone? My eye is in pain but I have no loss of sight or blurryness.

Answers:

If the scratch doesn't heal or gets infected, it could potentially be serious. I'd see a doctor to be on the safe side. He or she will probably give you some drops to use. If you're a contact lens wearer, make sure to stick with glasses until the doctor gives the OK.

I think you should see an oculist. (eye doctor) they will tell you if you actually did scratch your cornea. If you did they will also probably give you something that will fix you eye and stop the pain

I think u shld see a doctor.
