Well, Tay, it depends on how old you are. Lasik surgery is usually not performed on anyone under the age of 25. That is because the eye has to stop growing before the surgery is done and 25 seems to be the universal cut off for growing. Next, you have to be a candidate for the surgery which means you would have to be examined by an optometrist or ophthalmologist and they would tell you if you are a candidate. If the cornea is too thin, you would not be a candidate. Next. You have to consider the benefits vs. the risks of the surgery. If you only have a small Rx, the doctor will probably not recommend you because the benefits do not outweigh the risks. If the surgery doesn't go good for any reason, then, you may be left with severe starbursts around any light that may make it impossible for you to drive after sundown. Happens very few times, but it does happen. You have to consider the risk of infection and so on.
So, you have to make the choice.
Good luck and if there are any other specific questions, please ask.
