I need glasses................?!

Question: I need glasses................?
I am slightly farsighted, but I am also nearsighted on writing that is more than 20 feet away (Time on electric clock, writing on a school board, etc) I also have double vision (diplopia on smaller objects about 4 feet in front of my face)....
Are there prescription glasses that can help all 3 of these problems at the same time?

You can get prescription glasses to correct all of those. All you have to do is see your Optometrist and get the prescription and either buy glasses from the doctor or another Optical shop.

Since most diplopia is caused by a misconvergence of the eye, prism is ground into prescription lenses for glasses to help correct is. This is NOT a cure for diplopia. Last I checked, there were no contact lenses that can correct diplopia with prism. If someone DOES know of it, please let me know the brand of contacts.

This is unusual for an adult. Farsightedness usually disappears when we reach the age of 12. Then reading only becomes an issue very late in our lives (due to presbyopia). Due to old age the lens inside the eye of elderly people will stiffen up. This means they lose the ability to adapt the shape of it and no longer see objects close up. (book, pc)

So if you describe these problems to a glasses salesman he will probably suggest that you buy a pair of bi-focal glasses. They are glasses which do the job of both distance glasses and reading glasses. The bottom half of the glass you look through will be different and help to make reading books easier. This kind of glass is the same as that used in a magnifying glass.

But if you are just a young adult I suggest checking your posture is ok first. Bad posture leads to a massive strain on the body and can inhibit bloodflow among other things. A lot of people that use computers or read books develop a problem called forward head posture. Also their lower back slouches and they lose the natural look of their spine. If you feel you have an issue in this area then please feel free to check out my channel. Its a collection of free videos made by specialists who do a good job in explaining what is good posture and how to get it.

The Erik Dalton and Holistic Sam videos are a great starting point. They focus on forward head posture. With the Erik Dalton videos you don't have to understand all the technical terms but its a good idea to observe the short clips of a skeleton moving its head. Try to imitate those movements.. But make sure you pay attention to how the neck stays still and only the skull moves.

All the best.

They always will, unless your blind. Go to a good eye doctor and explain what is wrong. They will check you out and see if glasses is what you need. If your not ecstatic about the idea of having frames around your eyes, contacts are great. They are a pain but they are my best friend. If you can get the one-a-day ones, do that. They are a little expensive but you don't have to clean them :)

Holy crap. What you need is a new pair of eyes.
