non-prescribed contacts slightly sliding ?!!!?!

Question: Non-prescribed contacts slightly sliding ?!!!?
they are colored contacts and are slightly sliding around my eye when i look out of the corner of my eye . i am not sure if they slide when i blink [ my sister says they though ] .
i looked at other questions simuliar to mine on yahoo!answers and all i see is '' go to the doctor '' .
i can't go to the doctor , they didn't prescribe me these contacts . they may not be the exact measurement of my eyes/pupils/w.e. but does that exactly mean that they have to slide?

anywho ... do i HAVE to go to the doctor ?

If you got these colored contacts without going through a
certified eye doctor.
Sorry, you got robbed, you got cheated.......

The MAJOR PROBLEM of getting ANY CONTACT LENSES without
going a certified eye doctor is this:

1) Contacts lenses are NOT ONE SIZE FITS all...

2) Their QUALITY area HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE.

Since, they slide and such and you said you got these
without going through your local eye doctor...
Sorry, you got robbed, screwed, cheated....I doubt you will
ever get your money back.

WORD of ADVICE.....EXTREMELY VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

DO NOT BUY any COLORED or
any COSTUME CONTACT LENSES online!
PERIOD!!!!!!!!

The problem is contact lenses are NOT A ONE SIZE FITS ALL...
The QUALITY of any online contact lens company from a website or
any internet places HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE.....UNLESS through
your local eye doctor.
AND there is NO SUCH THING as a safe website for buying
contact lenses online...UNLESS through a certified optometrist.

You BEST and SAFEST option is to go to your local eye doctor
that deals with contact lenses and he can do
an eye exam to get the correct sized contact lenses to fit your eyes.

There are optometrists that can get these "colored contact lenses" for you.
In my local city I see eye doctors having signs in their windows for
these colored or costume contact lenses around Halloween time. (I guess
they want to make a few extra dollars during Halloween).
You just have to call around to the eye doctors and ask
about getting these ones.
These will cost more going through an eye doctor.
BUT THIS is the safest route.

IF You buy any of these online, you are asking for trouble. Like
having a CORNEA TRANSPLANT or spending time in the local hospital
in the optic eye ward.
In a lot of states it is illegal to get contact lenses of any type without
going through a certified eye doctor.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE EVEN THINK
of BUYING any TYPE of CONTACT LENS ONLINE.
UNLESS through an optometrist or your local eye doctor.

I'm not trying to scold you in any way, but this is exactly why contact lenses are NOT over the counter. Please don't take it the wrong way, again, I am not trying to be mean at all. And I'm not going to lecture you either. However, you need to take them out of your eyes and stop wearing them immediately. Just consider this a lesson learned and if you want to wear non prescription lenses in the future, do it the right way and get fitted by an eye doctor. It may be a bit more expensive to do BUT these are your eyes and you need to take care of them the right way. You only get 1 set of eyes! God bless and good luck to you.

They're sliding around because they don't fit properly. The eye doctor takes some specific measurements that tell her what base curve and diameter are right for you. By skipping that step and self-prescribing your own contacts, you ended up with lenses that aren't right for you. The only way to fix it is to get an exam and an Rx for correctly fitted contacts.

You are taking a big chance of damaging, or scratching your cornea from non-prescribed contact lenses. It's not worth it.
