Question: Toric Circle Lens????? How can I get them? My eye doctor has no clue what they are!!!!?
Hello!!! I would really like some toric circle lenses (I have astigmatism) so what would my prescription be? Here is what my prescription is on the box: (this is exactly what it says, I don't know what it means)
Left:
BC DIA PWR
8.7 14.5
+3.00 -1.75x150

Right:
BC DIA PWR
8.7 14.5
+2.25 -1.75x010

Where can I find ones to fit my prescription?? I asked my eye doctor and she has no clue what they are, and I really want her okay. Ideas how I can get my hands on circle lenses???
(I live in the states)

The last post is correct, they are not FDA approved therefore your doctor cannot prescribe them to you. They do not come in your RX either. Contacts in Asia are considered a 'fashion accessory' rather than a 'medical device' like it is here. They are OTC and doctors are not held liable for improper use of them, unlike here in the US.

No circle lens is FDA approved in the US. Your doc isn't going to find one at all from a major manufacturer, much less in a plus powered toric, and I don't know that it would be legal for her to prescribe them even if she found something from Asia.

I hate to break it to you , but they aren't made in your prescription.

They only come in - ( minus ) powers....you need + ( plus ) powers.

She could do a little research for you and check into getting them. I would think a quick call to their supplier would be a start.
