Well of course people that have to wear glasses want to wear contacts but i'm sure the reason that your dad doesn't want you to wear them is because they are expensive.

Just wait til your a little older and you can pay for them yourself :)

And if you want them now, then tell your dad why you want them and maybe he'll re-consider :)

hey im 13 and also am fighting my dad for contacts! hope you get them!
anyway ,the pros are:
look good
better for sport
better for not losing
choice of diposable or non disposable
dont make your eyes water from onions
stop ichy eyes from hayfever(as pollen cannot rech the eye)
you need them for an acting career
dont magnify your eyes
can wear non-pescription shades
lets people see your eyes

Cons:
can get dirt on them and therefore give you conjuntivitus (eye infection)
your body may reject them (but very unlikely aged 13)
and thats all!

my dad and i have come to a deal: if i keep my room and bathroom tidy, i can get contacts, as then they are likely to be more hygenic. however, were still arguing as i dont think that will happen!
good luck!

They are quite fiddly to put in, and you have to keep them SUPER clean. If you get dirt on your glasses it doesn't really matter, but if you get dirt on you're contacts, its basically like having dirt in your eye.
But they are cool and you can get them in Hello Kitty cases lol

hope I helped x

pros:
don't blur your vision
not bulky (like glasses)
you can play sports like normal
don't alter your physical appearance

cons:
can be expensive, since you have to replace them every now and then
sometimes hurt your eyes
higher maintenance than glasses
inconvenient when you go on vacation or camping

You have to keep them clean or else get the disposable ones which could be expensive.
They can be replaced easily, so breaking them or losing them will not be a problem. They just look good.
