Why do I get headaches when I wear my glasses?!

Question: Why do I get headaches when I wear my glasses?
I just got my glasses a day ago and they hurt when I put them on.

Answers:

I've had glasses for 11 years and I get a new prescription every year. I always get a headache for the first 3-4 days. It's just your eyes adjusting. Keep wearing them. Don't take them off or you'll never get used to them. If you still have a headache for a week then I would go back in just to make sure nothing is wrong with them. But don't worry, I'm sure you're fine and wearing the wrong prescription (if that *is* the case) isn't going to harm your eyesight in a week. :) Good luck!

They may be putting pressure on your nose or you may need a few days to get used to them. If it continues after a week or more of wearing them you need to go back to the eye doctor and let them know.

You were an undercorrected myope and you had to initiate the use of accommodation and takes some effort.
Did you actually get headaches?

they probably are the wrong prescription.....u should tlk to ur doctor about if u are wearing glasses that arent right u could permantly damage ur eyesight even more

This happens to me every time I get new glasses. Your eyes just haven't adjusted yet. Just wait a little while & the headaches will go away.
Hope this helps!

It's probably not the wrong prescription you just have to wait a few days for your eyes to get used to them.

Wrong prescription.
