Question on contact lenses?!

Question: Question on contact lenses?
Can you only buy 2 pairs of contact lenses and not a whole pack that you only wear for about a week and throw away? I plan to buy two then switch them off daily.

One of the pairs i want them to be colored contacts, my friend says they move around when you put them on. Is this true?

With colored contacts do they make your vision whatever color they are? For example if you got blue, would they make your vision blue? XD

How often should i change the solution water in the contact container thingy?

Do you think it's important to have a extra container case at all times with the solution?

Have your lens ever fallen out and you can't find them? This bothers me the most, when i lose something i feel like my dog just died, because i lost something my parents worked hard to get the money for.

Most soft contacts these days aer disposable. This means that its easier to make sure they are clean and if there are any problems or they break you haven't lost a massive amount of money. I believe you can get yearlies but there are disadvantages. You have no backup and if you lose one then its expensive.

coloured contacts - well you can only get them in certain perscriptions. Your friend may find they move as they haven't had them properly fitted which is also dangerous to the eyes. You shouldn't even think about getting contacts withotu a fitting as you risk your eyesight.

contacts dont' fall out unless they are badly fitted but you can easily drop them taking them in or out or damage them. Hence it beign useful that tehy are fairly disposable. When I have lenses in I usually keep a container with spare solution in in case I need to take them out. Solution needs to be cahnged every day and its important to use enough of it. Contacts are NOT cheap and coloured contacts more expensive again.

Answers to your questions as presented....

Most disposable contact lenses are not sold separately, they come with 6 in a box.

If your contacts fit you well, they should not move around. An optometrist can prescribe you the right size and curvature.

No- colored contacts do not tint your vision in whatever color they are.

You should change your solution in your case every time you put your contacts in it. Wash the case with hot water and let it air dry in between uses. Replace the case monthly.

WORD of ADVICE.....EXTREMELY VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

DO NOT BUY any COLORED or
any COSTUME CONTACT LENSES online!
PERIOD!!!!!!!!

The problem is contact lenses are NOT A ONE SIZE FITS ALL...
The QUALITY of any online contact lens company from a website or
any internet places HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE.....UNLESS through
your local eye doctor.
AND there is NO SUCH THING as a safe website for buying
contact lenses online...UNLESS through a certified optometrist.

You BEST and SAFEST option is to go to your local eye doctor
that deals with contact lenses and he can do
an eye exam to get the correct sized contact lenses to fit your eyes.

There are optometrists that can get these "colored contact lenses" for you.
In my local city I see eye doctors having signs in their windows for
these colored or costume contact lenses around Halloween time. (I guess
they want to make a few extra dollars during Halloween).
You just have to call around to the eye doctors and ask
about getting these ones.
These will cost more going through an eye doctor.
BUT THIS is the safest route.

IF You buy any of these online, you are asking for trouble. Like
having a CORNEA TRANSPLANT or spending time in the local hospital
in the optic eye ward.
In a lot of states it is illegal to get contact lenses of any type without
going through a certified eye doctor.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE EVEN THINK
of BUYING any TYPE of CONTACT LENS ONLINE.
UNLESS through an optometrist or your local eye doctor.
