Does anyone else have blind spots in their eyesight?!

Question: Does anyone else have blind spots in their eyesight?
I never noticed I had blind spots until I went to the doctor & did the vision test (the one where you have to click when you see the blinking light). The doctor said I have some of my vision gone and I notice now when I'm looking straight ahead, especially at like intersections I can't see the stop light at all until i move my eye to a different position. I went to a specialist and they said my eyes look perfectly normal, I am now thinking this may be something neurological. Does anyone else have this problem or anything similar?

Answers:

Everyone has a physiologic blind spot because there are no photo receptors on the optic nerve. However, your visual field revealed a larger blind spot or you wouldn't have been referred. You could have damage to your optic nerve or elsewhere on your visual path way.
