Why do we have blind spots?!

Question: Why do we have blind spots?
Why do we have blind spots? Do they become bigger as we age?

Answers:

Everyone has a physiologic blind spot that corresponds to where the optic nerve is. There are no photo receptors on the optic nerve. The size of this blind spot remains constant. Enlargement of the blind spot indicates pathology.

Have you had your eyes checked recently or do you get migraines? Migraines can be the cause of blind spots every once in a while. Stress can also do the same thing. It depends on how long the blind spots go on for also. You should put more detail. But your best bet is to probably go to the doctor's office. They will know what's wrong with you.

r u talking about the blind spot where you close one eye and lose focus on some dot or picture with your other eye?? that comes from the spot in the back of the eye at the optic nerve when the light projects onto that spot. we dont see anything so its the blind spot

i don't have blind spots unless i am in a car and a tree is in my way ha ha if that's the blind spots you are talking about well i mean i have to turn my head to see a whole room but other than that i don't have blind spots
