Can glasses cause this mental thing?!
Question: Can glasses cause this mental thing?
I had a very active childhood, but got glasses in 2006 (6th grade). Then mental oddities and snags started popping up. I was diagnosed last year (sophomore) with ADD, but the medication doesn't work as well as it should.
Basically, can glasses cause symptoms of mental, uh, dullness? I'm constantly tired, and it seems like I look at the world through a TV screen- things only appear more realistically 3-D when I take my glasses off, but I can never keep them off long enough- they're necessary.
Could it be that I'm just looking at a flat surface, messing with my casual depth perception? Or anything along those lines?
Thanks

When you first get glasses, if they are for distance, they will make things look smaller and farther away. However, usually, you will become accustomed to them within a week or two.
I don't think glasses would cause mental dullness, tiredness, etc; I would suggest getting some tests to check hormone levels.
Glasses usually do not cause mental dullness, but certain medications can. The diagnosis of ADD is a controversial area. Its not an exact science. You may want to get a second opinion preferably from a holistic doctor.

Your lens prescription could be too strong... Hmm go into your eye doctor and describe what your feeling. They may be able to do something about:D hope I helped:)
No. Your ADD is more likely the cause.
