I just got glasses today, dizziness?!

Question: I just got glasses today, dizziness?
So I just got glasses today and it is the first time I have ever used glasses. When I put them on I can see well, but as soon as I shift my eyeballs to look somewhere else, it blurs but then refocuses quickly, making me dizzy. Is this normal? Is it just because my eyes are adjusting? Thanks!

Answers:

It's because your eyes are adjusting. It should go away in a day or two. If the dizziness continues past a few days, then go back to the eye doctor to have the prescription readjusted.

It is definitely normal. You eyes are just adjusting to the glasses. Give it a week or so. However, if you are having trouble with focusing or alignment, that might be the cause to it. If this problem continues, it would be best to check with your optometrist.

That's normal, it usually takes a couple days for your eyes to get adjusted. Whenever I get new glasses I get a headache and I also get dizzy. You'll be fine though, it's normal.

I had glasses for 5+ years

i have glasses too. and yeah, its normal. for the first couple days you might be dizzy and have a small headache. its just because your eyes arent used to seeing through glasses yet. dont worry, it'll get better (:

meee.

It's normal.
You're just not used to glasses.
I say give it about a week.
