Is it safe to sleeep with contacts in?!

Question: Is it safe to sleeep with contacts in?
Okay its 11:44 and i am waking up at 6, would it be okay for me to sleep with my contacts in tonight? Is it dangerous? If i do is it okay? Ive done it before and when i woke up it felt weird but i put some solution on my finger and touched my eye and it was fine, but is it safe? Thanks!

Answers:

It depends entirely on what type you have. I am suppose to take mine out every single night... Sometimes I don't. If you don't be sure to take them out in the morning and clean them or put some solution in your eyes while they are in. There is a very small chance that something bad could happen, though it is a chance nonetheless.

Unless they are contacts specifically for night wear then I personally wouldn't do it. I did that once and found I became light headed, confused and extremely cold and realised that not enough oxygen was getting to the eye. I took them out immediately and felt better I thought I was going to die. I never did that again.

Been wearing contacts for 10 years

Your eyes may feel very dry in the morning. That's basically it.Just take your contacts off as soon as possible in the morning and then rinse your eye out of any bacteria build up.There's no major damage. I just summarized the link i gave u

hope this helps =)

I don't think it would drastically hurt your eyes, though it'd just be safer to take them out, you don't really need to sleep in them do you?
