Question: Thorn poked my eye?!?

I was walking my dog and he pulled me into a bush and I think a thorn went in my eye. I cant see anything in there, but I'm just having an anxiety attack. It's sore, what should I do? My parents refuse to take me to the hospital.

It is always better to get it checked out. There is a difference between getting an organic foriegn body like a thorn vs a metalic foriegn body. The organic one can carry fungus. If you don't feel anything your probably ok but it is safer to see an eye doctor. You don't have to go to the emergency center but call your eye doctor or if you don't have one look in the yellow pages for an optometrist.

Rule of thumb: your eyes should Look good, feel good and see good. If not see your doctor.

if you can't see anything wrong with your eye, and you can see fine out of it, it's not a serious injury.
