What kind of eye problem is this?!

Question: What kind of eye problem is this?
I’ve had this problem with my eyes since forever…I remember it beginning some time around puberty, but it is perhaps much earlier than that.

So what is it?

What I experience is an array of flashing colours, bubbles what have you, just receding in brightness on and off. Take for instance, when you stare at a bright light and look away, as the light begins to dissipate you will see many colourful tiny/little lights flashing in your vision, except that those little lights are now *permanent*. That is what I have.

The intensity of these tiny lights increases in correspondence to the decrease in brightness of lights in a surrounding area wherever and whenever. This is especially so during the night when everything is completely black, the perfect breeding ground for these malicious lights. Personally, I call it the “Dead Channel Vision” syndrome, like that of a 1980s television gone bonkers, although I am completely ignorant for the exact medical term.

I have concluded, after many trials, that it has gets worse each time I masturbate. I don’t know why this is so. And have asked many people (eg. physicians namely) why it may be, but thus far no one knows the answer! I am beginning to think my condition is unique only to me, and no one can help me.

I’ve gone to an eye doctor, but he says it’s “nothing”. Of course, I knew that was a load of sh!t, because my eye vision has nonetheless gotten progressively worse. Soon, I am afraid, I will be uniquely blind (even in broad daylight) – but the blind that I speak of will consist of a blanket of dead channel.

Is there anyone at all out there that knows what the hell this is?

Thanks very much!

Answers:

This is very common and known as "Visual Snow". What you are seeing are likely red blood cells moving through capillaries crossing your retina. It has nothing at all related to any problems with your vision.

Well I am no eye physician but it could be a detached eye retina ie flashing lights etc so I would get to a hospital that has an an eye clinic with doctors who see this all the time. I have uveitis and permanently on steroid drops to keep it at bay
Best of Luck and dont delay!

experience in eye clinics

weird, I'm surprised the eye doctor passed it off as nothing!

i have not experienced anything like that however when ever i am faint or light headed i get the same thing.

i suggest going to another doctor, and maybe even doing some blood tests it could be that your anemic or sufficient in something and that is why you keep seeing light.

whenever I'm light head i take more iron and then that sensation stops, but generally i am really tiered too.

i urge you to get this checked out and don't stop till you get an answer, you might regret it later :(

keep trying obviously something isn't right!
i hope it stops! :)
sincerely; ola
