So what is the best way to sneak contacts into your eye?!

Question: So what is the best way to sneak contacts into your eye?
I just recently upgraded from glasses to contact lenses for my eyes. I'm one of those people though who really have a hard putting them in my eyes. As it stands it takes me about an hour to get both of them in and i just can't keep wasting that much time in the morning. So i'm wondering if anyone knows a method different from the traditional method of putting them in so that i can do so. Kind of, you know, sneak them into my eye so i don't blink as soon as they touch it. Let me know if you can.

Answers:

you cant really trick your eye into not feeling it. you need to hold your lower eyelid with the middle finger of your dominant hand (with the lens on your first finger of same hand) and then use you other hand (middle finger is best) to pull up your upper lid. if you do that firm enough you can stop your self from blinking. then lightly place the lens onto the center of the eye (keep looking straight ahead) once on the eye dont blink straight away as occasionally air bubbles form, look in every direction (left right up down) then blink and it should be okay. it does take practice and it takes time for your eyes to get used to them. REMEMBER if you do succeed dont over wear your lenses. give your eyes a break from them while your getting used to them. 1 day wearing 1 day not. the first time only wear them for a maximum of 4 hours. and then build it up.
if you get to frustrated with yourself for not doing it,stop for a minute, relax yourself and start again. its sooo much easier when your not tense and worried.

hope this helps

i hold my top lid up with my non- dominant hand using my middle and index fingers, and then i hold the bottom lid with the middle finger of my dominant hand and quickly use my dominant index finger with the contact on the tip, to place it in my eye, hope this helps!

being a conact wearer

You have to hold your eye open with your hands while applying the contact to your eyeball. It's tricky, I know. But after a time you will get hang of it and it will seem like second nature!
