Question: Would it be weird to ask an eye doctor?

i want to know info on my eyes so i can buy circle lenses but i have never worn any contacts before. should i just ask my doctor what i need to know to order circle lenses from yesstyle.com? but would that be weird? because i'm not buying contacts from the eye doctor?what are questions i should ask him? so that i know i won't hurt my eyes, also i think i have very good vision.
