If its just a check up then they just scan your eye with various equipment, if its not a checkup then please specify in your question :) . there is no pain involved which I bet was one of your main worries. they just have to look at the back of your eye. one test involves you resting your chin on some paper and the optician would use a scanner to take pictures of your eye. nothing to worry about its perfectly comfortable. if your lucky you get to look at a picture like a hot air balloon or something. if you are near adulthood then they might just puff some air or water in your eye which you cant really feel anyway. another tool they use is just a bright light which just looks at the back of your eye. its not very bright really but its all fine. nothing to worry about, all fine :D

And different types of Light
Have you read from a card to test up-close
Also have you read letters or numbers for distance
There could also be a light box with circles of White, red and green light
You may also get a Peripheral vision test
I have had a Eye test a few weeks ago - think that is everything
