When Can I Get New Frames For My Glasses?!

Question: When Can I Get New Frames For My Glasses?
It's almost been a year since I got my glasses, and I was wondering when I could get a new frame, or WHERE I could get cheap frames and lenses. Also, if you could show me some cute frames that would work well with a round face, that'd be nice!

Answers:

If its been about a year since your last eye exam, thats the first place to start. Most Rx's expire after 1 to 2 years so check to see if yours is still valid. You can buy as many pairs of eyeglasses (frames and lenses) as you like. There is no limit, unless your using medical insurance coverage. If so, you will need to check with your insurance company to see when your benefits kick in again. As for your face shape (round), go with something more rectangular in shape and narrow. You will want to look for a frame that is more wider than it is deep. It's hard to say without looking at you. Hopefully you will have an experienced optician to help you. Bring a friend/family member with you for their opinions. They know you best and know what you like too. Shop around and take pictures (of yourself with the frames on) with your cell phone to compare your selections! Hope this helps

P.S. Ms. MD...I read this entire post and found it quite easy to answer, DUH! Maybe because I work in this field, where as the poster does not. I'm sorry you feel that this post is 'common sense' to you. If thats the case, why do you feel the need to respond?

Licensed Optician for 15+ years

www.replacementlensexpress.com is a great place for lenses. Check out the great prices. Everything's done in Connecticut, so quality is high and turn around time is fast. They focus on the lenses side of things, and only show a handful of frames, but they can get anything you want. So if you have an idea of what you want for frames, shoot them an e-mail at info@replacementlensexpress.com. They are very keen to undercut all of the competition, so you're likely to get a great price.

Wal-mart, DOC, Pearle Vision or just Google "cheap glasses"-DUH!
You should read the whole post before answering a question!

@GingerInLV-This person is rude with responses so I thought I'd give them the same courtesy. It has nothing to do with the post or with you!
