I need tips for how to put contacts in, can anybody help?!

Question: I need tips for how to put contacts in, can anybody help?
I'm new to Contacts and have just recently bought them. I have been having troubles putting them in. I'm very comfortable touching my eye it is just that my contacts have been cupping around the tip of my finger or not sticking when it reaches the eye. Please if anybody has any suggestions or tips let me know it would be great help, thanks!

I have had my contacts for about 8 years and still suck at getting them in. Surprising, right???? I seriously cried every day for like the first week I had them because I wanted contacts SO SO bad and couldn't get them in.

A couple of things that work for me...
*Get the contact a little wetter before you put it in. It will take a little work to figure out exactly how wet it should be, but chances are that you don't have it wet enough.
* I only mess with my bottom eyelid. I was taught to do something with both eyelids, but that is WAY too much messing with stuff for me. Why make things more work than you have to? I pull down my bottom eyelid and look up with my eye. I then pretty much FORCE the contact in. I let it kind of settle in. Sometimes it hurts a little, but it almost always works. Sometimes my eyes will water a little, but like I said it works. That used to freak me out, but I've been doing it once a month (I have the 30 day and night kind) for 8 years and my eyes are fine.

Just keep practicing even though it is SUPER aggravating and best of luck. It becomes second nature. I don't even need a mirror anymore (usually, lol)

I was like you when I started, but I just had a hard time taking it out. You should rub it with your solution and make sure its very moist. Then check if it forms a cup, because that is the side you put on your eye. Put it on your finger tip and using your middle finger, pull your bottom lid down. Keep your lens near your eye, and if it is moist enough, it should create a suction to your eye. Close your eyes for a few seconds and it should adjust to your eye. if this is not working, maybe you should put some lubricant eye drops before putting your lens in. And you said it keeps cupping around your finger ? My doctor says that I'm going to fast, you need to go slowly, until you feel your contacts on your eye.
I hope this helps ! Good Luck !

Personal Experience

i got contacts last june and they work just fine even tho when i put it in my left eye it sorta burns..but try not to blink
there are two ways of putting them in:
directly putting it onto ur eye(i developed this technique later)
and looking to the sides ,put the conatct on the whites of eyes and then roll ur eyeball around to find it once u have close ur eyes gently and tap on ur eyelid u get rid of airbubbles on ur contacts
hope this helped
