what happens if you stretch a contact lens?!

Question: What happens if you stretch a contact lens?
i accidently stretched my contact lens a little today while trying to clean it cuz it was all dry from having put them in my short pockets when it fell during bball practice and didn't have my case to put it in. i tried it on and my vision was kinda blurry than usual, i think it was due to either the light in the room or the stretching of the contact lens...

Nothing happens when you stretch you contacts..
If you strech hard enough you'll rip them..

You were just scared..

The moment your contacts touch anywhere besides the package they came in, the contact case, your eyes, or your clean hands, you should dispose of them. They are already contaminated.

If your contacts are stretched or bent, they can scratch your cornea. Even contacts that are too big or too small can scratch it. You should definitely throw that pair away.

If you have had your lens in your shorts pockets then chuck it out. Dirt , infection and damage to the lens will make it unusable and unsafe. I'm a bit suprised though that it fell out. Hard lenses used to do this but its compartively difficult to get a soft lens to fall out. If it keeps happening I'd speak to the optician about teh fit.
