How do I know if my dog is blind in one eye?!

Question: How do I know if my dog is blind in one eye?
My dog was recently hit by a car. The vet said she is ok and will live but she is bleeding from one of her eyes. Now, the blood is coming directly from the eyeball...so does this mean she will be permanently blind in that eye?

Wrap your dogs head with stuff called "vet wrap". It is an elastic type material that comes in a roll and sticks to itself. Wrap the head such that the undamaged eye is covered. Now observe how the dog acts and judge how well the dog can navigate in an area with obstacles. If your dog is able to navigate well then she is able to see.

Hi your dog needs to be seen by a vet right away. Bleeding from the actual "eyeball" is not good. There is a possibility that she could have ruptured it and if so she might possibly be blind in that eye. Call your vet and talk to them and get her seen. Good Luck.

I would suggest that you ask your vet again what is the meaning of that indication, try to also consult this site http://bit.ly/c6qYat - you can get professional vet's advice in 5-15minutes.

only time and healing will tell.
